The project is now moving forward very quickly. Thinking ahead can you spare some time to help us run the shop?
We are holding two information sessions in Pitton Village Hall on Wednesday 22nd July at 7 p.m. and 26th July at 2 p.m. We have lots of information we would like to share with you about everything from opening hours, to staffing, services and volunteering.
In April 2022 there was a very enthusiastic response from about 60 prospective volunteers of all ages. At this level an offer of two hours per week would keep the shop running effectively and able to provide a wide range of services to the community including:
- Groceries
- Cafe
- Postal services
- Wine and spirits
- Newspaper delivery
- Takeaway refreshments
- Prescription collection
- Dry cleaning drop off and pick up
- Parcel collection and delivery point
- Advertisement board
- Tickets for local events
- Local delivery service
